If you want to blame someone, blame the governments of those two states that voted to have their primaries before the day allowed by the party rules.
Dean has done nothing wrong, other than enforcing the rules.
Rules which all the candidates, including Clinton, agreed on.
Republicans in Florida tied the scheduling of the primaries to another bill as a “poison pill” amendment. trying to kill that bill. But Dems in Florida voted for the bill anyway.
The people of Florida elected their government, and their government made the decision to go against party rules.

It’s Obama that has actually kept both states from not re-voting. Many people don’t want to hear that but it’s fact — although any other front-runner would have done the same thing just to preserve their lead so we can’t blame him for playing the game.
But you are correct. The Florida vote was fair. People like to make things up about them not campaigning (and ignore all the debating, the national ads, the nationally televised interviews and daily stories in the news about each of them) and say he was “unknown” or they’ll say “many people didn’t even bother to vote” despite Floridians having state-issues to vote on and the state posting a new record for voter turnout. It seems like it was so long ago but Florida voted a week before Super Tuesday… so what?!
If you look at the California split, Florida came out pretty much the same way and would have a week or even a month later. And yes, that would have changed things if it had counted then. But anytime you factor in a difference or change like when state votes it will change something. If past primary states had all voted two weeks ago, Obama might have lost most of the ones he won. That’s just how these things work.
Edit” btw heady, the primary date was attached to the bill that updated the voting machines and it had to be passed by both sides due to the 2004 election mess. I’m not sure where you got your information from but it looks wrong.

Sorry to say, it’s too far gone now for Michigan and Florida to pull it out for Hillary Clinton. The numbers are just stacked against her.
Her only prayer is a bolt from heaven and some sort of major scandal or mistake by Obama that will make him Untouchable. It would have to be so big that only the most hard-core Obama supporters would resist the decision of the super delegates to change the decison that is already pretty much written in stone.
Everything now is “going through the motions” so that the last States feel like their primaries count and their delegates are given the mandates by voters for their convention votes.
It’s all over but the confetti drop.
Florida and Michigan are the least of the Democratic party’s problems. The entire system is a total disaster.
They started messing with it after the 1968 convention in Chicago to fix the problems that arose there and have been diddling it ever since.
It’s a Rube Goldberg system that has finally collapsed under its own dysfunctional weight. It was only a matter of time.
Sadly for the Clinton supporters, if the Democrats had used the simple and fair (and democratic) system of the GOP, Clinton would have won the nomination easily long ago. She carried the big States and the traditional base that the Democratic party needs to win in November. The GOP system would have reflected that.
Now the Democrats are stuck with a candidate who has a limited appeal to the far left and only a few demographics, some of whom are new to the Democratic party.
It may mean another four years wandering in the wilderness.

I agree with you , it’s not fair and we as Hillarys supporters should not forget how unfair she has been treated and send the super delegates a message when they come up for re election in our states . send them a no vote and send there cheating A S S packing .

It is obvious that Dean is for Obama.. always has been…so he is not in a hurry to settle this in any way that might favour her. What is wrong with Democratic men that they are so afraid of a woman president. Looks bad for them. Especially this wimp Dean!

I agree with you, I still see her winning it too. Obama can’t win the general election without the democrat base behind him, and they are not going to be. He’ll get less support from them then Gore did in 2000, or Kerry in 2004.
Dean is at fault for part of the FL and MI mess. When he gave those states the OK to move their primary dates up, in exchange for throwing out their results… frankly it was just a very brain dead move on his part. Who could have known it was going to be this close, but still… what an idiot. Now, there isn’t an easy way to fix it either. Those states will vote republican for certain if they don’t get their votes counted, especially if Obama is the nominee. (Since he blocked the re-votes)
What it comes down to, is if they think it’s ‘worth it’ to nominate Obama, knowing he’s going to loose, just to keep his supporters happy. Or, will they nominate Hillary, so we can actually win back the white house this year. Don’t count her out yet, but it’s all going to be up to the Superdelegates in the end. These primaries have proven she can carry the voters she needs to to shut McCain down in November. To me, that should be more important than anything.
In my opinion, Hillary has already earned the nomination by how well she has endured this, with everyone seemingly against her. (the media especially) Many people supported Obama before the Wright thing came out, they want their votes back now. Obama can’t beat McCain without that base, and they are just not willing to carry him.
