I’m not moved by promises of “hope”. “Hope” is a wish for a result you are powerless to cause. On the other hand, I’m not exactly enthused by speeches that appeal to my hopelessness, on issues such as taxes, outsourcing, and medical coverage.
None of the candidates excite me, because they all amount to new ways to make the federal government bigger, and get more and more in the way of those who don’t live on hope, but have actual plans to accomplish their dreams and goals, and the intention to do the work required rather than wait on government to do it for them.

I think Barack Obama is very similar to Jimmy Carter. All smooth talk, but the smooth talk in nothing but empty words.
The similarities are scary. We don’t want that for our country again..
