May I remind you that McCain challenged Obama to weekly debates in town hall meetings starting in July. Obama refused. Now when we are in a crisis, that Obama says is the biggest crisis since the 1929 depression, he wants to debate, rather than going to work on the problem. One is a patriot, the other a talker. They were going to take their cue from him. Of course they do not need Obama in Wash DC...they have Pelosi to lead their party. But it is at a stalemate now and if the Dems won't sign some kind of legislation and the Republicans won't then McCain needs to be there to break the stalemate and get something done before we go under. The debate can be done next week for pete's sake.....no big deal to postpone. The economic crisis needs to be taken care of now! Obama was probably going to vote present anyway as he is afraid to be held accountable. So what is the big deal about waiting until the crisis is over to listen to a debate?
