Our policy makes no sense and is harming us. We do need to breakaway from the Saudis owning of us. ANWAR would lower the price of gas by a whopping 1 cent.
You people need to get a grip, we need to GET OFF OF OIL COMPLETELY!
Myself I have burned about 3 gals of gas in the last year.
I have a plug in Prius with a solar array that I plug into at night to recharge it, the solar array also powers our house.
Not only do we not burn any gas but we end up saving about $400-$500 a month.
WTFU people and stop thinking we have to have MORE oil when in fact we need LESS oil
Edit: and Southern, you are the typical Reich wing nutbag without a clue. If the Government spent just half of what it does on WAR to subsidize solar companies instead of OIL companies and then give zero interest loans to citizens to change their houses over to 100% solar then EVERYBODY could afford it, in fact they couldn’t afford not to.

Yes, we are. The increase in the price of oil has just as much to do with the decrease in the value of the dollar as it does with supply. Our own government has to answer for the declining dollar due to irresponsible spending practices.

the key phrase from shumer is that it would lower the price FOR THE SHORT TERM! there will be no new oil field finds people! there is NO good alternative to petroleum for moving goods, farming, etc. we need to conserve what we have and go to alternatives where we can (electricity, etc.) and save some of the precious for future generations to enjoy. as in NOW!
