i dont care if obama is black or white or purple or green, i will be d*mned if we elect another republican (or at least another liar)! but people will surely vote for him just because he is (half) black, just as a bunch of thoughtless women would have voted for hilary only for the fact she is a woman, and wealthy white men will vote for mccain to benefit them as they did with bush. btw did anyone watch Recount yet? also check out Hacking Democracy and the Zeitgeist movie.

Frankly I don’t get it.
What are the Democrat principles to which you refer? Most of the Democrats I see are ultra-rich and simply see minorities and other groups as things they need to “take care of”, almost like pets. There’s no emphasis on becoming independent, and it’s always like a dependence factory (which makes sense, since that keeps the Democrat business going).
I think minorities do themselves a disservice when they allow themselves to be taken for granted AND almost voluntarily enslaved (again).
When a customer keeps buying a product that doesn’t do the job it promises and constantly breaks and every “new and improved” version is the exact same product as before just with different colored labels and fonts on the packaging… that customer is called a sucker.
Women support both major parties in relatively equal numbers, and some (like me) even go third party altogether. Maybe that’s why women have experienced real progress while other minorities continue to be taken for granted and get the same shoddy treatment they’ve come to expect.
Imagine for a moment if the black vote suddenly went 70% to Republican (not gonna happen, but just imagine)… the Democrat party would FREAK, and the Republican party would go bezerk trying to keep them. The net result would be such a huge amount of power in the black population, as both parties scramble to give them everything they want.
As it is, there is no such incentive. Democrats just have to talk and make promises, and even when they go unfulfilled, it’s not like the black vote is going anywhere, so there’s no real urgency to ever fulfill a promise. And Republicans don’t bother because the few times they’ve tried to attract the black vote, it hasn’t amounted to much. Even self-made millionaire black Republican businessmen only manage a scant 10% of the black vote!
It’s sad to see such a large block of people with so much potential sell themselves short year after year after year, and keep believing the same old lies.

ok im only 13 so i got a lil confused lol but seriously, i personally want Obama to win, for many reasons but i will admit i do want him to win bcuz he is black….and yes democrats do a lot more towards helping black people then republicans and George Bush is a republican so i think that sums it up….republicans succ n democrats rule!!!!!

Over the past 30 years the Black vote has gone overwhelmingly for the Democrats. Most Blacks register as Democrats. The Republicans have done precious little to woo Black votes. That’s according to some of their own leading Black party members!http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080614/ap_o…
