Read this:
DEMOCRATS’ single most important domes tic proposal – universal health insurance – may blow up in Barack Obama’s face when voters are exposed to the deadly details.
Obama has said, proudly and often, “I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage.” But are they “Americans?”
That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants – who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally. And they are, by far, the group most in need of health insurance.
About 15 million of the remaining uninsured are eligible for Medicaid but haven’t signed up – mainly because they haven’t gotten sick. When they do, they enroll in Medicaid and we pick up the full tab for their health care relatively cheaply. (About 80 percent of each Medicaid dollar goes to nursing-home care for the elderly, only about 20 percent for the medical needs of the poor.)
The rest of the uninsured pool? Virtually all the children are eligible for the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. Some aren’t enrolled because the parents haven’t bothered, but most are eligible. That leaves about 20 million uninsured adults who are US citizens or legal immigrants. There are far better ways to handle their needs than to turn our entire health-care system upside down.
Care for illegals is the biggest unmet medical need in our nation, and Obama’s program targets it squarely. But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes?
Covering illegals adds dramatically to the cost of any program – and would encourage more folks to enter America illicitly.
Obama’s plan will likely have a horrific effect on some local health-care systems.
Illegals now get free emergency-room treatment for life-threatening conditions – as any other American who’s entered an ER in an area with lots of illegals recently well knows. (Three-quarters of the illegal-immigrant population is concentrated in five states: California, New York, Florida, Texas and Illinois.)
But now they’d be eligible for the entire range of medical services, all free of charge. That would trigger severe rationing: bureaucrats deciding who gets to see an oncologist, who can have an MRI – and even who can have bypass surgery and who’d die for lack of it.
These decisions would be made not on the basis of legal status but on the brutal facts of triage: Treat the 37-year-old illegal with his whole life to live before you spend scarce resources on an overweight, diabetic, 80-year-old citizen with high blood pressure who smokes.
John McCain hasn’t raised this issue, perhaps for fear of offending the Latino vote. But polling suggests the case against rationing of health care would be as persuasive to Hispanic-American citizens as it is to the rest of us. Nobody wants to die waiting in line – especially not behind someone who snuck in ahead of us.
McCain needs to hit the Obama plan for treating illegal immigrants to free, federally subsidized health insurance – and hit it hard.

But this popularity is precarious. People like Obama far more than they like his policies. And even though they think the country is moving in the right direction, polls show this to be one of those rare periods where those same people remain unsatisfied with their lives. In a portent of what he might do.
There is good reason for this. On the one hand, Obama has got out in front of his agenda. In some sense, he has never really stopped campaigning. He has conducted town hall meetings everywhere from Indiana to Istanbul, and appeared on Jay Leno’s couch.
And, making buddies with the likes of Castro and Chavez.
All this, for what good to the average American who is hurting badly! ,
Almost every element in Obama’s agenda is showing the predicted signs of failure that expert political experts predicted. The war in Afghanistan is failing, the spending pork filled bill, (oh, excuse me ), the ” stimulus” package is inadequate, the many billion dollar bailouts are rightly unpopular, unemployment is still rising, (to a tune of over 20,000 lost jobs each day he was/is president. The house prices are still falling miserabaly.
Obama’s administration for all his talk of bipartisanship and national unity; is also a failure. He is the most polarising president since such records began. The gap between how Democrats and Republicans rate him at this stage is greater than Bush in 2001 after Florida and twice as high as Nixon’s during the height of the Vietnam war in 1969. This is partly because Obaamas, who give him an 88% approval rating, adore him. The Obama badges are still on and the posters are still up. They no longer refer to hope, but reality. The likeness they bear no longer represents an alternative to power but power itself. But obaamas are not the only ones who find it difficult to move on from the symbolic attachment of those first days.
Many conservatives compare Obama to Stalin, Hitler or Jimmy Carter – and accuse him of being a socialist, a fascist and an appeaser. The concerns they voice about the budget deficit, government intervention and inflation are valid, .
Maybe Obama should have learned to play guitar; and have become a popular rock star.
His first 100 days have shown that he is not capable at anything but showing popularity.;and based upon the facts, nothing about what/how a president should be.
But, maybe that is what he wants; to be popular.
Do you agree?

Senior citizens in Florida and New York get additional Medicare benefits! Aren’t they lucky? Too bad if you decided to retire in Minnesota. Or Wisconsin. No extra benefits for you.
Here’s the story and more examples:http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=2…
Are Democrats in DC including perks or exemptions for certain states in order to gain Senate votes from those states?

Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson of Florida has found his calling: Death demagogue. First, he accused Republicans of wanting sick patients to “DIE QUICKLY.” Next, he likened health insurance problems to a “Holocaust in America.” Now, he’s unveiled a new website entitled “namesofthedead.com” in memory of the “more than 44,000 Americans [who] die simply because they have no health insurance.”
Just one problem: The statistic is a phantom number. Grayson’s memorial, like the Democrats’ government health care takeover plan itself, is full of vapor. It comes from a study published last December in the American Journal of Public Health. But the science is infused with left-wing politics.
Two of the co-authors, Drs. David Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler, are avowed government-run health care activists. Himmelstein co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program, which bills itself as the “the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program.” Woolhandler is a co-founder and served as secretary of the group.

Congressman Foley was “ousted” for liking young men. . .
46 Republican Politicians are convicted Pedophiles. . .
The Republican Log Cabins are a gay organization. . .
Here is what I don’t understand. . .
Your Party is famous for “thumping” the Bibles under your arms, furthermore throwing it in the “Political Arena.”
Your Party has many “famous Preacher’s” on TV, denouncing Homosexuality.
What gives with all the above?? How do you explain all the hycrocrisy?
I’m aware the Democrats have their share of “odd” Politicians, but yet they’re not the Party who runs around promoting the Bible, and making judgments on how you should live, as your’s, what gives??
