Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson of Florida has found his calling: Death demagogue. First, he accused Republicans of wanting sick patients to “DIE QUICKLY.” Next, he likened health insurance problems to a “Holocaust in America.” Now, he’s unveiled a new website entitled “namesofthedead.com” in memory of the “more than 44,000 Americans [who] die simply because they have no health insurance.”
Just one problem: The statistic is a phantom number. Grayson’s memorial, like the Democrats’ government health care takeover plan itself, is full of vapor. It comes from a study published last December in the American Journal of Public Health. But the science is infused with left-wing politics.
Two of the co-authors, Drs. David Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler, are avowed government-run health care activists. Himmelstein co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program, which bills itself as the “the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program.” Woolhandler is a co-founder and served as secretary of the group.

Throughout the presidential campaign last year, liberals were champing at the bit to accuse Americans of racism for not supporting Barack Obama. That was a tough argument on account of the obvious facts that: (1) for every vote he lost because he’s black, Obama picked up another 20 votes for being black; (2) Obama won the election in (3) a country that’s 87 percent non-black.
So the accusations of racism had to be put on hold until … the first note of dissent from his agenda was sounded.
Inasmuch as Obama was just elected and his policies have turned out to be the most left-wing the country has ever seen, it wasn’t going to be easy to claim the electorate suddenly decided they didn’t like the mammoth spending bills or socialist health care bills because they just noticed Obama is black.
But Kathleen Parker has leapt into the fray to explain that the opposition to Obama’s agenda is pure Southern racism. And she’s from the South, so it must be true! accept she was born in florida..which isn’t exactly DIXIE LAND.
Why are non prejudice democrats so quick to use the RACE card everytime someone disagrees with their candidate? You all do realize that we weren’t fond of Bill either and he is WHITE.
Get a grip on reality…
