What Can Mccain Do To Stave Off Obama’s Momentum And Bring Up His Own Sagging Poll Numbers?
As you all know, John McCain’s poll numbers are dropping faster than Republican Senator Larry Craig’s pants in the men’s room.
He tried suspending the campaign, but most people knew it was a political stunt, so that failed. And McCain’s poll numbers have been dropping nationwide, including the battleground states. Obama has a lead in Virginia and North Carolina. He has it tied in Florida and Ohio, and took a wide lead in Pennsylvania and Colorado.
Sarah Palin’s interview with Katie Couric exposed a lot, and even conservative columnists are writing articles expressing their displeasure. Some are asking Palin to step down, or the Republicans should just pull out of the race completely. So that interview has caused McCain’s polls to drop more as well.
So what can John McCain do to bring his numbers up?
The only way for McCain to win over the public, at this point, is to
ask for their forgiveness over his loss of integrity. He has shown
himself to be an angry old man willing to do and say just about
anything to win the White House. At least if he was honest about
his shift away from ethical standards, some people would be swayed
by the shocking honesty.
I think it’s too late for Mack Cane to bring his numbers up substantially. There are only two things Mack Cane can do at this point, either cut Palin loose, or suspend his campaign indefinitely. The folly of the choices that the delegates made during the convention are finally coming to light. This does not bode well for the Republican ticket. Maybe the Republican voters should call for an emergency recall of the Mack Cane ticket, and install one of the other candidates at the top of the ticket, and their choice for the second position.
1. Have a conference to discuss his ideas about the economy.
2. Start talking about bringing the troops home.
3. have Palin step down for personal reasons.
4. Pick Liebermann even if the neocon rightee christians dont agree.
5. Start talking about what he is GOING to do not what he has done.
6. Stop talking about his prison camp experience.
START ACTING LIKE THE MAVERICK HE SAYS HE IS AND REJECT ALL THE LAST 8 YEARS OF BUSH POLICIES.

You’re right. There’s nothing we can do. You might as well quit campaigning. Stop the commercials. Pick up all the signs. There was no October surprise. We were just pulling your leg. The Berg lawsuit will be dismissed tomorrow. We don’t care that Obama was born in Kenya. (see link #1) So what if Tony Rezko is now talking to the FBI (see link #2)

McCain has tried every gimmick in the book. Obama has been focused and energized.
Obama wins.
Start acting like a conservative and dump the bailout agenda.
I haven’t heard anyone asking Gov Palin to ’step down’, only Biden.
Drop Palin and pick a VP who has extensive expertise on the economy. That might swing me, but as it stands there is no way I will put Palin one-heartbeat from the Presidency.
1. Let Palin talk for herself.
2. Give better speeches.
3. Understand the people he’s representing.
4. Follow Obama’s plan on Iran and Health Care.
Frankly, he should sit back, smoke a cigar and call Obama up and say, “Barack. Hey. John here. It’s all you, man … I’m going to go ahead and save face.”
Stop the photo ops with Joe Leiberman, Admit Palin was a strategy, do a face-to-face debate where he looks at his opponent. Pray.
Throw Palin under the bus. Raise campaign money by selling it on pay-per-view.
Like the Sheriff in “Blazing Saddles” he should hold himself hostage until people agree to proclaim him president.
if he could somehow convince Hilary Clinton to join him as Vice President.
Try hypnotism. Anyone half awake can see what the last 8 years got us and we don’t want any more of it. Obama 08 for a change we so much need.

I find it humorous that columnists, or journalists, ie the Media, are making political decisions for Governor Palin to step down, as if they have any authority except to blow a horn and tell a tale they way they see it. Palin is not accustomed to the theatrics of Washington DC politics and the media circus where COuric is one of the ringleaders. Palin has to tell it like it is. She has not mastered the “spin” and that is why I like her. McCain has to start being the strong, leader type, the bulldog and guard dog if you will. He has to stop appearing “DOTTY”. He has to pander to the middle class and have them realize all the good he has done for them in his career.
