What Happens If?
this Obama flap with his pastor and his remark that his grandmother is a TYPICAL white person doesn’t go away, and Hillary wins big in Pennsylvania and starts gaining momemtum but not enough pledged delegates…How will people view Michigan and Forida if they don’t re-vote there? Should the Superdelegates… relevant to their true intentions…decide what’s best for the party? Or go into the general election campaign with a candidate that can’t win!!! In my opinion, if you want to play with Republicans, you have to play as hard as they do. Democrats are being idiots by selecting delegates proportionately instead of winner take all, like Republicans do. Hillary Clinton ( California, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Florida etc.) would have won hands down and the party wouldn’t be in this predicament now.
Agreed, but you can’t apply that logic until the rules are redone. what further sucks is that the DNC decided to take away michigan and florida’s delegates in the first place- 2 states that Clinton would have obviously won in the first place. I really do think that the superdelegates need to consider momentum as opposed to just delegate counts when choosing. There whole job in the first place is to make sure that the committee doesn’t nominate a lame duck candidate. Why send someone without momentum up against the Republicans who are rested and strong right now (and mind you, heavily favored).
What happens in Pennsylvania won’t change much. Hillary will still be behind in delegates. Hillary will still be behind in votes. Polls will still show that most Democrats support Obama. Polls will still show that Obama would be a better candidate against McCain.
If Hillary should turn things around at the Democratic Convention and steal the nomination, then Black Voters will turn against the Democratic Party. It will be the worst thing possible in the history of the Democratic Party.
I hope that for the sake of the Party that Hillary supporters can find the courage in themselves to get in line and support Obama.
You statement ignores the fact that even with Florida, Obama currently holds the popular vote lead. Michigan’s popular vote should not be factored in as Sen Obama was not on the ballot. In fact, Hillary was the only one on the ballot, and she still only garnered about 53% of the popular vote.
What he said is RACIST. And I am hoping the media does a number on him.
How long will you beat a dead horse? Today, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is endorsing Barack Obama. As a former ambassador to the United Nations and senior U.S. diplomat, Richardson has had to deal with some of the world’s toughest characters – from Saddam Hussein to North Korean generals. And he believes that Barack Obama has the judgment we need in a Commander-in-Chief when our nation’s security is on the line. Barack Obama showed this judgment by opposing the Iraq war from the start, and he has shown it during this campaign by standing up for a new era in American leadership around the world.
Wait, I have a thought, it’s gone.
Obama is the one who will NOT allow the redo in Michigan and Florida…Obama will hand the election to McCain!
And Obama says he is a uniter…where have we heard that before??
