The Republicans were 100% responsible for the Florida Primary date change. Not the democrats.http://www.makeitcountflorida.com/page/c…

Wow, you’re right! How come this hasn’t been publicized? I thought I was following all the election news pretty closely but this is the first time I’ve heard of this. Somebody needs to get this story out in a major way!
Was this even legal under Florida law? Any idea why the DNC didn’t get involved when it was happening?
Couldn’t Floridian Democrats sue their Republican legislature for effectively disenfranchising them?
David S, you’re the uninformed hater. Read the questions in the posted link.

The Democrats made their own rules just like the republicans did. Dems are responsible for this boo-boo not the republicans.

Some people? Hah! You mean why republicans don’t get it.
If you find someone with the answers, ask them these questions as well.
1.) Why does the republican party claim to want a smaller government, and then spend 600 billion dollars trying to secure and liberate other countries even after Bush ran in 2000 saying America shouldn’t be a “nation buider”.?
2.) What is up with all of the closeted gays in the republican party? (craig, foley, ETC…)
3.) How can the republicans justify the murder of 600,000 brown people by saying that Saddam was a bad guy, and that he killed 250,000 of their own? Isn’t 600,000 a bigger number than 250,000? Doesn’t that make the republicans twice as guilty?
4.) How can the republican party claim to be the party of morals when there we look at the other 4 questions?
5.) Why do republicans want WWIII so badly?

Who cares. The rules were broken period. If Floridians are upset then they need to voice their anger at their elected leaders who happen to be Republicans. They elected these people.

All the article shows is that Republicans made it difficult for Dems to vote against the bill which set the date. They’re all the more accountable for their votes, though, if voting against the bill would have failed to kill it and the important changes the bill contained would have gone into law anyway. Most importantly, in my mind, you should have been whining to the Democratic candidates when they decided (I think unanimously, but I’m not sure) to punish Florida by not campaigning there. If they didn’t buy into the helpless victim story, why should anyone else?

In the grand scheme of the American polotical machine it doesn’t matter. They could at least give us some vaseline or lube before they rear-end us so violently.

That is not true! It was the Democrats who changed the dates for the primary so that Obama could get the southern black vote. In doing so they broke the law and need too be held accountable for being so arrogant that they thought they could get away with it. This type of thinking is what is wrong with our country, we have become an if it feels good do it socieity where crime and drugs and gangs run wild. In the southern california area alone there are over 1,000,000 gang members from over 5,000 diferent gangs. It is about time that we got back too what the Republican Party stands for and that is family responsibility. Your arguement is very poor when you consider all of the nationwide publisity that the Criminillity shown by the Democtats has caused. DONT BE SUCH AN UNINFORMED HATER.

It was voted on and it passed unanimously. That would include Democrat legislatures voting to move the date also.

Blaming will not undo anything. They are politicians whether democrat /Republican and their duty is to take responsibility for their deeds.

Because they listen to others that are as misinformed as they are. Here are the facts in a nutshell:
The Florida Democratic primary election ballot had all democratic candidates listed.
Florida Dems have been disenfranchised, through no fault of their own
HB537 was written by a Florida Republican to change Florida’s primary date.
A conflict between a state’s legislative rights and DNC & RNC rules caused this.
The Florida Democratic Party did NOT change this date.
The Florida legislature has an overwhelming Republican majority.
The state of Florida has a Republican Governor.
The citizens of the state of Florida did NOT vote on this date change.
HB537 was passed in May 2007 & legislatively changed the Florida primary date.
This date was, and still is, unalterable by the Florida Democrats.
Shame on the Democratic National Committee for:
Letting Republicans control our Democratic election process.
Disenfranchising the Democratic voters of Florida, again!
Ignoring their agreement to ensure voting rights for all Democratic voters.
Potentially stifling the Democratic party contribution flow from Florida. http://florida-delegates.com/
