Why Do Reactionary Pawns Refuse To Admit That The Tea Parties Are Blatant Astro-turfing?

2009 August 14

While there are legitimate reasons to stand against government on behalf of the people, the tea party organizers are just USING YOU to fit their agendas.
How do you explain this?
The principle organizers of the local events are actually the Republican lobbyist-run think tanks Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Works. The two groups are heavily staffed and well funded, and are providing all the logistical and public relations work necessary for planning coast-to-coast protests:
– Freedom Works staffers coordinate conference calls among protesters, contacting conservative activists to give them “sign ideas, sample press releases, and a map of events around the country.”
– Freedom Works staffers apparently moved to “take over” the planning of local events in Florida.
– Freedom Works provides how-to guides for delivering a “clear message” to the public and media.
– Freedom Works has several domain addresses — some of them made to look like they were set up by amateurs — to promote the protests.
– Americans for Prosperity is writing press releases and planning the events in New Jersey, Arizona, New Hampshire, Missouri, Kansas, and several other states.
Last year, the Wall Street Journal exposed Freedom Works for similarly building “amateur-looking” websites to promote the lobbying interests of Dick Armey, the former Republican Majority Leader who now leads Freedom Works and is a lobbyist for the firm DLA Piper.
Need more proof? Why is it that the Tea Party organizers say that they represent “the people” yet no one there shows up to speak except right wing reactionaries working on behalf of the elite? And why were Republicans working for the oligarchy campaigning?
The Tea Parties are a false hope for the people’s of the world.

They are unaware of the political reality and easy victims for this type of propaganda.
You are 100 percent correct. The tea parties are astroturf. Conservatives ignore this well documented reality because they “feel” better thinking this nonsense was their own idea. That’s the underlying reason for their refusal to face the facts here and on a host of other issues, vanity

You sure are going to a great deal of trouble to try to undermine them.
I ignore advertising. If you think this is just a way for people to sell something you’re not interested in buying, simply ignore it.
    Enjoy your change.

Would that be like the current administration “USING YOU” to fulfill their agenda?
I took the “using you” quote out of your rant.
And yes, I have attended a “tea party” just like I have attended a rally for “the one”(as Oprah called him).
The difference between the two are huge, complete an wide ranging discussion of the issues by Independent, Republican and Democrat at the tea party. “The one’s” rally was all about “hope and change” and bashing Bush little if any discussion on the issues.
If you haven’t been to one, I’d suggest attending one, if only to see for yourself. Most in attendance will not tolerate any political interference from the two major political parties as many see that they are the part of the problem.

I hate the tea parties, but damn why do you have to rant?
