Why Is The Democratic National Convention Stepping Up Its Ad Campaign Against Dems Who Oppose Obama’s Plan?
A Democratic National Committee group is significantly expanding a healthcare ad buy that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) last week called a “waste of money.”
The advertisement will run in 15 new markets, targeting centrist Democrats whose support for the leading Congressional healthcare proposals is crucial.
The 30-second ad, “It’s Time,” features the stories of five Americans who have been affected by what Democrats say is “the broken care system.”
The original ad buy was for television markets in Maine, Arkansas, Indiana, Florida, Louisiana, North Dakota, Nebraska and Ohio.
Asked about the ad last week, Reid didn’t mince words in voicing his displeasure.

It’s called Chicago mob style politics, and Obama and his administration are behind this crap. THIS ADMINISTRATION needs to be ousted. Pronto.
Because the vote is coming up soon, and we want our elected representatives to be aware that we are watching what they do. We will know if they have sold their souls for big pharma and insurance dollars. We will know if they go against the wishes of the majority of voters in my state, and we will not forget…
If your blog is correct or you copied and pasted it correctly, it simply means that everyone has a right to their opinion. Otherwise we’d have a government like Iran has. Is that what you want? At least the Democrats are doing something. Exactly what are the republicans doing to save this country from the bush years?
My guess is these blue dogs will not be reelected if they vote for this health care bill. It is a waste of money. I’ve already made up my mind about it anyway and no ad is going to change it. There are other ways to change the system besides a government take over.
Harry Reid knows exactly why it’s being done. These Blue Dog Democrats are on key committees that have already voted or are about to vote on the bills before them. There’s one House committee left — now I will be making my phone calls to these individuals.
Because that’s the way politicians fight these days: dirty. As even other dems begin to realize what a truly bad idea this is, he’s losing his window. Thank goodness.
