Why Is The Democratic Party Being Ruined By A Corrupt System That Disreguards The American Voter?
2010 January 30
I’m a Republican, by the way. But even I see what is happening. The American people who voted in Michigan, Florida, and Texas clearly wanted Hillary. But the corrupt DNC stole all of hillary’s delagates, and just gave them to Obama. Doesn’t the DNC realize that if they go against the will of the American people, they will LOSE in November? If they don’t pick the candidate that America wants (Hillary), all of Hillary’s supporters will vote for McCain in November. Of course I like that, since I ‘m a REpublican and I vote for McCain anyway, but even I have to admit that it isn’t fair to the majority of Democrats, since they mostly voted for Hillary and their votes were disreguarded.

Liberals have a “do as I say not as I do” way of thinking. Al Gore yells nonsense about “global warming” and uses more power than 10 normal people in a year.
Obama clinton florida and michigan ALL knew that by proceeding with their early primary that their votes would not count.
Now it’s all of a sudden a big conspiracy to give Obama Clinton’s delegates?
they did so because they want to have a reason that they lost and to disregard someone with intelligence competence, will, and proven leadership skills for someone that is the equalivent of a pre schooler against a college professor is not what the country needs at all but leave it to the democrats to screw up a good thing it always comes down to that but then the republicans should jump for joy cause they want Obama means more votes for McCain
The one true honest answer is power and control over government programs as well as the nominee. They didn’t just like leaving it up to the people pre-1982, so in ‘82 Mondale’s campaign manager, Bob Beckel, helped create the current system including “Superdelegates”. Obama is ahead in both pledged delegates and the popular vote – even if you count Michigan and Florida. Once he wins in North Carolina, it’s all over for Hillary (thankfully – I didn’t think a majority of Americans were dumb enough to vote for Bill, and Hillary is even more socialist).
The reason can be found in History.
Shortly after the civil war the democratic party was not only out of favor, but also out of support and money. A group of investors that was seeing their slave trade disappear from their grasp following the war created a group called the knights of the golden circle. This group was to insight the next civil war in order to return the slave trade back into not only the U.S but central and south America as well. Some have claimed that Jesse James was a high officer in this group. Over the next 20 years the Knight’s were hunted down and disbanded but were still heavly funded by their Euorpean supporters. They even changed their name a few times in hopes of raising support for their cause. Around the early 1900’s they used their funding and merged with the Democratic Party in hopes to keep the slaves as a 2nd class of the U.S. from the inside of the goverment instead of from the outside.
I know this is a very short example of the inter workings of the party but still just one of the reasons it works the way it does.
A Republican voice from the wilderness speaking the truth. Thanks for that at least. I won’t vote for Obama, but I won’t vote for McCain either. I thought I would be able to but I just can’t vote for another four years of Bush policies. If the idiot Democrats nominate Obama I’ll be staying home and not voting for the first time in over 30 years.
EDIT:
Invoice Jones: Bingo!
I live in Florida and the reason my vote won’t be counted is because of the Republican governor and the Republican legislature, who voted for and signed the bill to change the date of the primary. The Democrats tried to overturn this decision in the Florida courts, but the Republican courts upheld the Republican governor and legislature.
And I would not be too quick to brag about the Republicans, since they voted in George W. Look to your own party before you criticize mine.
I don’t understand what you mean by the democratic party being “ruined” by a corrupt system – you seem to be under the impression that it has ever been something else. Forget about Florida and Michigan and take a look at the fact that the party insiders and political bosses called “superdelegates” have 1,000 more power in the process than the average voter. In a close election like this, they collectively have the power of disenfranchising ALL 50 STATES with their votes! If that isn’t corrupt elitism, I don’t know what is.
I am glad to see that, for once, the democrats won’t be able to (wrongly) accuse Republicans for their catastrophic failures.
I’m voting for McCain if Obama is the nominee and does not have the class or political acumen to offer the VP to Senator Clinton. I will hold my nose and vote for an Obama-Clinton ticket if it is available. But if Clinton is not on the ticket, I will vote for McCain instead of Obama.
The Democratic party in this election has made it clear from the start. they favored obama. I think all America has seen this.
take play. Hillary I agree, has made some blunders. But I would take her blunders any day over Obama deceit. we know nothing of this man ,and what we do know is not good. But yet, he is still being pushed on by the big time Democrats. and this is even more scary, than obama’s past.
I am so glad America has the finial say in November.
Here’s why. Two names: Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean.
ETA: Thank you, Elway_the_Cat!
Hillary always was the party vote. Probably still is. Texas deleagtes went the way they did because that’s the structure of Texas pimaries. To ignore the formula and give the delegates to Hillary would be manuplation. Listen – Gore got more votes than Bush but he still lost the election; its the same with Texas – just the way the formula works. As for Michigan and Florida – well surely you know that story, it had nothing to do with Hillary vs. Barack, just idiots in those states who had their bluff called.
First of all I agree, second, one of his supporters is sure to get your question deleted. I don’t think this election is about the people’s choice, it’s more about the parties choice and the media just goes along with it. They are falling all over the young voter (and don’t get me wrong it’s nice they are voting) and forgetting about the people who vote most of the time. I think they deserve what they get in the fall and they may even be surprised and lose. If they do they have no one to blame but themselves.
